Some older relics are still clickable relics. If you have a clickable relic you have to have it equipped. You can drag it onto the action bars to let you keybind it or hoover over it to click.
Most Relics activated automatically by you doing an action. The events that trigger them are Healing, attacking or taking damage. Players will call this a Proc, Procc'd or double Procc'd. All DPS should be watching for Proc's to enhance the damage they produce. When Relics are Procc'd this is considered your burst window. Should I not see a change to the stats? I was thinking you could not have two of the same type but nothing changes with different types. Thanks for the help. Cunning over comes everything.
