Which path iorveth or roche

And boy did it ever. The second Iorveth said: "Leave them. Our women are prepared to die", I saw him for what he was: A terrorist that has lost his moral compass in the pursuit of his goal.

In light of recent events in the real world, you can see that just as with Al Qaida and ISIS, there are the beginnings of a legitimate cause in there somewhere, but the methods they employ are so beyond the pale that any legitimacy is instantly wiped out and replaced with revulsion.

Roche on the other hand is not ruled by hatred the same way Iorveth is. He is doing his job. He never so far in the game, at least expresses dislike for any innocent non-humans. His problem with the scoia'tael is not that they are non-humans, it is that they are bandits and terrorists, no matter their race. And that is the only position I can morally get behind.

To me, going with Iorveth is like hating every white westerner because you are arab, or hating every arab because you're a white westerner. Going with Roche is like judging people by their actions, and not by their color or religion. Plus, you get to kill that scum Loredo as a bonus.

Jesus H. Yep, Roche all the way. Have you already played The Witcher 3? If not, you're in for a treat. Roche's Witcher 2 path also led to what I feel was perhaps the greatest moral dilemma I've ever experienced in a game--which you likely haven't seen yet-- what to do regarding Ves and the king.

Such great storytelling and dialog in those games. They really put nearly every other developer to shame in those areas. No, I'm doing these in order. I've fiddled a little with the prologue to Witcher 3, just to see how good the graphics look, but I'm saving it. I don't know guys, somehow Iorveth path seemed more appropriate to me. Vergen is such an awesome city and lets for you relax a bit and explore, chat with old friends, and the succubus quest was awesome. I mean it is worth it for the music only.

On Iorveth's path I have two endings and a save where I can have a third. In one game I went with Iorveth and removed the curse of Saskia. I saved Sile in that one and did not fight Letho. I did this for a number of reasons. With Saskia free of the curse she will be the leader that helps fight of Nilfgaard.

Sile owes me for my favor as does Letho, or at least his promise to disappear. Philippa has no control over Saskia and will be hunted and never trusted again. So this ending has a free Aedrin and a dragon to fight against the invaders.

The other saved ending was where I went for Triss. I let Sile die so this helps Triss gain power with the remaining mages. Yes Philippa probably escaped we aren't certain of this however , but we know what she did. I let Saskia live even if Philippa might maintain control. With Triss now firmly back in good graces with the remaining mages they might be able to lift the curse or hunt down Philippa. After all if she and Sile are dead then no one controls Saskia anyway. I did do a save right before to let him live if needed.

So the only things that won't be easily undone is letting Saskia live and my letting Sile die in the trap. I probably should have let her die in the other paythrough as well but this way I can see come WE3 if she has any bearing. As for WE3 it looks like it will be the search for Yennifer in Nilfgaard while the the war against the north rages on. My guess is they will either end it with a final battle against the Wild Hunt or leave that to WE4.

The other big choice will naturally be Triss or Yennifer. StingingVelvet StingingVelvet Sorry, data for given user is currently unavailable. Posted June 22, Super bump. I'm finally playing Iorveth's side and I don't like it nearly as much. First off the main characters you interact with just aren't as well written and voice acted.

Henselt and Deathmold were terrible people, but great characters. Shila and Saskia are, compared, pretty bland. Secondly the story gets way too muddled. The plot goes from being about catching up to Letho and finding Triss to being more about fighting for Saskia's rebellion, which while morally pleasing isn't really well designed or well paced. I preferred Roches path. At forth Iorveth seemed like a badass, but he eventually he became a bit too broooody. The blue stripes are fun to be around as well as you may find out.

But I got the Prima guide I'm a sucker for printed guides, keep the "Free Internet FAQ are better" out of this and while I'm not reading through the Walkthrough section unless I'm stuck during my first run, there is an Ending guide that I went and read.

It has a flowchart with all the paths for 6 different endings. The guide suggests doing Ivoreth first if you are doing just 3 runs the other two are Roche and a third siding with either but going with Triss later on. I think Vergen's incidents are more alluring than he Kaedweni camp's. OP Nice post! I would add a poll if I were you. I liked Iorveth's for chapter 2, but I liked Roche's path better for chapter 3. I guess it all evens out in the end!

Non committal answer from me, but I really enjoyed both paths. I played Roche's path first and then Iorveth's path. Gameplay-wise, I thought for the most part Iorveth's path had a better main quest line and Roche's path had better side quests. Story-wise, I'm completely torn between them. I love both Roche and Saskia. My ideal impossible ending would be to side with Roche and somehow manage to rescue both Anais and Saskia.

But of course I'll have to choose between the two paths when deciding what to import, and it seems like I change my mind every time I think about it Is it guaranteed that Roche is alive at the end of Iorveth's path?

I specifically remember saving Iorveth on Roche's path but I don't remember getting any confirmation that Roche was alive at the end of Iorveth's path. Roche did help me steal blood from Henselt, and he was probably doing the conspiracy also, so I'm kind of worried that Dethmold may have killed him and Ves. On the other hand, since Roche did help me steal the blood he would know to expect retribution and maybe he evacuated the Blue Stripes before Dethmold had a chance to kill them all so it could end up working out even better for Roche if I pick the Iorveth path.

Iorveth by Far, i took Roche path end up in the camp and the only think i was hearing is "odrin" was driving me crazy. Maxx01 said:. KnightofPhoenix Rookie 15 Aug 4, I liked both a lot. But I enjoyed Roche's path more because I identify with it more and think it's more logical. I enjoyed exploring the characters of Henselt, his curse and Dethmold. And we got to know a bit more about Auckes and Serrit.

And of course, I liked working with Radovid. But I do love Iorveth's path, in large part because of Philippa Eilhart.
