If you wish to attend your first walk with Sheffield Walkers walking group please contact us a minimum 48 hours before the start of your chosen walk and we will add you to our list of walkers, notify the Walk Leader to expect you, and provide you with details of the meeting point and start time.

Course Map Course Description The 5km loop begins on a wide tarmac road with a few speed humps to negotiate and continues to the gate near cable water ski area and around the bottom of the large lake. Head through two gates which take you around the Northern Lake area, then take a right turn through the causeway between the Northern Lake and Main Lake next to the play area. Take a sharp left turn around the play area and follow the lake path towards the main car park and finish on the grass between the miniature train track and the lake path.

This is quite a flat route and in a lovely country park on the borders of Rotherham, Sheffield, Worksop and Chesterfield. Facilities Park in the main car park, overspill and Watersports car parks as directed by the marshals.

Getting There Location of start The event starts on the wide tarmac road on the way towards Northern Lake, before the free play area. The start line is opposite the concrete area for crossing over the miniature train track. Getting there by public transport Bus: The nearest public transport stop is one mile away from the park. Getting there on foot The park is on the Trans Pennine Trail and Sustrans Route 6 and has 20 public rights of way into the park area.
